“The case of Lee Spievack... Lee is a skilled model maker who works in a hobby store. One day in 2005 Lee was talking to a customer about an airplane, and had a terrible accident. When pointing to an airplane and telling a customer he needed to get rid of that engine, he accidently put his finger through the prop and cut off about ½ inch of his finger tip. But instead of going to the ER and spending the rest of his life with a hacked off finger tip, he contacted his brother, Allen Spievack, M.D., a research doctor who had spent years working on limb regeneration. Allen had developed an experimental powder, which had not previously been tried on humans, and Lee agreed to try it. After taking a shower, Lee sprinkled the powder on his finger tip while it was still wet, and covered it with a Band-Aid. After doing this every day for a few weeks, his fingertip started to regrow, even the nail! After four weeks it had completely regrown, to just the way it was before.”
“Just as surprising, Lee Spievack is not a teenager or young man. He is 72 years old!”
“Dr Steven Badylak at the University of Pittsburgh, a pioneer in the field of Regenerative Medicine, had some interesting comments. If a fetus in the womb loses a limb, it just grows back. That’s because just before we are born, every cell in our body has the potential to become a part of any organ or limb. Newts and salamanders grow back limbs their entire lives. Dr Badylak believes humans should be able to do the same. It’s just a matter of sending the cells the right signals or instructions. Dr Badylak believes these signals come from chemicals floating around in the soup between the cells, the extra-cellular matrix. The extra-cellular matrix used to be thought of as just the glue that holds the cells together. But now we know it is an information highway.”
“And that’s where the mysterious white powder comes in. Lee Spievack’s brother made it from the extra-cellular matrix of pig ladder. There were no actual pig cells in the powder, just the dried extra-cellular matrix. And when Lee sprinkled it on his finger, it turned back into soup with the growth signals the body needed to regrow the finger. They are now looking at regrowing major body parts and organs within the foreseeable future.”
The potential of the human body is beyond incredible. We just need to give it what it needs. We are discovering that the effects on our body from what we eat and what we think are just as profound. If we give our body what it needs on all fronts, those of us who do so will find ourselves moving into a new era of health and longevity. That is called synergy, where the results equal more than the sum of the parts. We often find that we are limited only by our imagination and our taking action. Imagine living close to one thousand years of age, as did those who lived in the pre-world-flood era, not that long ago, with the health, energy, and vitality of a young adult! But there are things we need to do, and things we need to refrain from doing, to get there. Every coin has two sides. But what is most encouraging... our future will be better than our past.
Health is a choice. What health is not: fate determined by your genetics. What health is: the end result of the choices you have made, or your lifestyle. Keep in mind that YOU are the only one that determines your destiny.
